Genesis, 17

12. And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which [is] not of thy seed.

Hebrews 11:8: "By faith Abraham, when called, obeyed and went to a place that would later receive as an inheritance, although he did not know where he was going." Galatians 3:29: "If you are from Christ, you are the descent of Abraham and heirs according to the promise." This verse highlights the importance of Abraham's spiritual descent, which is mentioned in Genesis 17 when God promises Abraham who will be the father of many nations.
