Exodus, 10

9. And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we [must hold] a feast unto the LORD.

Chapter 10 of Exodus narrates the continuation of Egypt's pests, with the arrival of the grasshopper plague. Moses and Aaron try to convince Pharaoh to free the Hebrews, but he still refuses. The selected verses are:

Deuteronomy 28:38: "You will throw a lot of seeds to the countryside, but you will gather little, because the grasshopper will consume her." This verse talks about the damage caused by grasshoppers to agriculture, a theme that is addressed in Chapter 10 of Exodus.

Joel 2:25: "And I will restore you the years that were consumed by the grasshopper." This verse also deals with grasshoppers, but shows that God has the power to restore what was lost.

Proverbs 30:27: "The locusts have no king, yet they all come out in flocks." This verse addresses the nature of the locusts, which act together, which can be observed in the grasshopper plague in Exodus 10.

Joel 1:4: "What was left of the caterpillar, the grasshopper ate him; what was left of the grasshopper, the locust ate him; and what was left of the locust, the aphid ate him." This verse shows the insect food chain, which can be related to the grasshopper plague in Exodus 10.

Deuteronomy 28:42: "The grasshopper will consume all your trees and the fruit of your land." This verse also talks about the damage caused by grasshoppers, who destroy vegetation, a theme that is addressed in Chapter 10 of Exodus.
