Chapter 6 of 1 chronicles presents the genealogy of the Levites, including the descendants of Aaron, the first high priest. Exodus 6:16-20: "These are the names of Levi's children, according to their generations: Gérson, Coate and Merari. And the years of Levi's life were one hundred and thirty-seven years. Gérson's children: Libni and Simei, according to his families. And the children of Coate: Arão, Izar, Hebrom and Uziel. And the years of Coate's life were one hundred and thirty -three years. " This verse presents the origin of the tribe of Levi and the names of his children, including Arão, the father of Moses and Aaron.
Numbers 35:6: "And the cities you will give to the Levites, six cities of refuge, which you will make them set, so that the murderer is welcomed; This verse refers to the distribution of the cities of refuge, which is mentioned in 1 chronicles 6.
