Psalms, 13

3. They are all gone aside, they are become unprofitable together: there is none that doth good, no not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre: with their tongues they acted deceitfully; the poison of asps is under their lips. Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; their feet are swift to shed blood. Destruction and unhappiness in their ways: and the way of peace they have not known: there is no fear of God before their eyes.

Psalm 13 is a prayer of lamentation in which the psalmist expresses his anguish before God and asks for help. The main topics addressed in Psalm 13 are affliction, anguish, suffering and waiting for divine help.

Psalm 34:18: "The Lord is close to those who have a broken heart and saves those with a shaken spirit." This verse talks about how God is close to those who are suffering and sad, broken their hearts, and He saves them.

Psalm 40:1-2: "I waited patience in the Lord; He leaned over at me and heard my cry." He took me a horrible lake, of a sludge, put my feet over a rock, fell my footsteps. " In this psalm, the psalmist talks about waiting in God and how he can rescue those who cry for him, as a safe haven in the midst of difficulties.

Psalm 42:11: "Why are you slaughtered, O my soul, and why are you disturbed within me? Wait in God, for I will still praise Him, to Him who is my help and my God." This verse expresses a hope in the Lord, in the midst of sadness and anguish.

Psalm 86:7: "I invoke you on the day of my anguish, because you answer me." The psalmist trusts that God will respond to his supplication in times of anguish.

Psalm 119:50: "This is my comfort in my affliction: May your Word go gone." This verse highlights the power of God's Word as comfort and helps in times of distress.
