Genesis, 28

6. And Esau seeing that his father had blessed Jacob, and had sent him into Mesopotamia of Syria, to marry a wife thence; and that after the blessing he had charged him, saying: Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Chanaan:

Genesis 28 reports the beginning of Jacob's journey, where he runs away from his brother Esau and has a meeting with God in a dream, receiving a promise of blessing. The main topics covered include the importance of divine blessings, God's presence in our lives, and God's faithfulness to fulfill His promises.

Psalm 139:7-10: "Where will I be absent from your Spirit? Where will I run out of your face? Dawn and I stop in the ends of the seas, still there will be to guide your hand, and your right hand will sustain me. " This verse talks about God's constant presence in our lives, no matter where we are or what we are going through.

Deuteronomy 31:6: "Be strong and courageous, do not fear, nor be amazed before them, for the Lord your God is with you; This passage reinforces the message that God is always with us and protects us in all situations, just as He protected Jacob on his journey.

Hebrews 13:5: "Be constantly in fraternal love. NOT neglect hospitality, for some, practicing it, without knowing how they welcomed angels." This verse talks about the importance of being hospitable and loving with the people around us, because just as Jacob had a meeting with God while on a journey, we can also have encounters with Him through our interactions with others.

Isaiah 41:10: "Do not fear, because I am with you, do not haunt yourself, because I am your God; I strengthen you, and help you, and I support you with my faithful right hand." This passage reinforces the message that God is faithful to fulfill His promises and that we can trust in His presence and help in all circumstances.

John 1:51: "In truth, I really say unto you, ye shall see the open heaven and the angels of God rising and coming down over the Son of man." This verse is a reference to Jacob's dream, where he saw a staircase that stretched from heaven to earth and the angels rising and down. He reminds us that Jesus is the ladder that leads us to heaven and that He is the connection between God and humanity.
