The seventh chapter of 1 Maccabees reports the battle between the armies of Judas Macabeus and the Antiochus King. During the fight, many Jews die and their bodies are dishonored by enemy soldiers. In the end, Judas comes out victorious and recovers the temple of Jerusalem. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in 1 Maccabees 7.

This verse talks about the victory of King Abias of Judah about King Jeroboam of Israel, who trusted his own armies instead of trusting God.
