Nehemiah chapter 12 tells the dedication of the walls of Jerusalem after its reconstruction. In it, the priests and Levites are listed who led the people in celebrating the dedication, as well as the musicians and singers who accompanied the event. Following are five verses related to the topics covered in Nehemiah 12:
1 Chronicles 25:6: "All of these were under the direction of their parents to the singing in the house of the Lord, with cymbals, jumps and harps, to the ministry in the house of God, under the direction of the king, of Asaph, of Jedutum and Heman. " This verse mentions the importance of musicians and singers in the service of the temple, a function highlighted in Chapter 12 of Nehemiah.
Nehemiah 12:31: "Then I raised the princes of Judah over the wall, and constituted two major praises and thanksgiving companies, the first of which went to the right over the wall to the mourning door." Here, Nehemiah reports as organized the celebration of dedication, with two praise and Thanksgiving companies led by the princes of Judah.

2 Chronicles 7:6: "And the priests were in their posts, as well as the Levites with the Lord's musical instruments, which King David had done to give thanks to the Lord, because his mercy lasts forever, when David praised for Half; And the priests touched trumpets before them; and all Israel was standing.
