Deuteronomy, 9

9. When I went up the mountain to receive the slabs of stone, the tables of the Covenant that Yahweh made with you, I stayed on the mountain for forty days and forty nights without eating or drinking.

" This verse highlights God's promise to transform the hearts of His people and write their law into their hearts, that they may obey and be faithful to him.

Romans 3:23-24: "For all have sinned and deprived are of the glory of God; being justified free of charge by His grace, by redemption in Christ Jesus." This verse reinforces the idea that all have sinned and need God's grace and mercy to be justified and saved, as was the case with the people of Israel.
