Ruth, 4

10. I also take Ruth the Moabite, the widow of Mahlon, as my wife, in order to raise up a family for her late husband on his estate, so that the name of the departed may not perish among his kinsmen and fellow citizens. Do you witness this today?"

Leviticus 25:25: "If your relative impoverishes and sell some part of your property, your nearest rescuer will come and buy what the relative sold." This verse presents the law of property redemption, which is important in the outcome of Ruth's story, as Boaz becomes the elimelech resciator and acquires her property.

Proverbs 31:10-12: "An exemplary wife; Happy who to find it! Is much more valuable than the rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and never lacks anything.
