Psalm 78 is a poem that talks about the importance of teaching future generations about the wonders of God and His commandments. The author of the Psalm uses the story of Israel to show that God has been faithful over the years, but often his people forget his blessings and rebel against him. Then there are five selected verses in order to proximity to the themes of the chapter, but excluding the verses of Psalm 78:
Deuteronomy 6:6-7: "And these words that I command you today shall be in your heart; and you shall summon you to your children, and you will speak of them at your house, and walking along the way, and lying down and lifting you." 2 Timothy 2:2: "And what of me, among many witnesses, heard, trust him to faithful men, who are suitable to teach others as well."
