Numbers, 18

15. Every living thing that opens the womb, whether of man or of beast, such as are to be offered to the LORD, shall be yours; but you must let the first-born of man, as well as of unclean animals, be redeemed.

Verses related to Numbers, 18:

Chapter 18 of numbers is dedicated to Levi's tribe and his role as tabernacle priests. The following verses are related to the topics dealt with in chapter:

Exodus 29:9: "And you thou bear the belt of pure gold, and you will give the diadem of holiness in your head." This verse describes the preparation of priests for the tabernacle service, including the garment and the diadem they should wear. This passage is related to numbers 18, which deals with the designation of the Levites as priests.

Exodus 30:7-8: "And Aaron will burn smelling incense over him; every morning, when the lamp is tidyed, it will burn it. And when you light the lamps in the afternoon, it will burn incense; it will be continuous incense before your generations. . " This verse describes the importance of incense in the tabernacle service. In numbers 18, the Levites were assigned to take care of incense and the altar.

This verse describes how the Levites should use the tithes they received from the Israelites. They should offer a raised offer to the Lord with a part of these tithes.

Deuteronomy 18:1-2: "There will be no Levite priests, the whole tribe of Levi, part or inheritance with Israel; of the burned offerings of the Lord, and his inheritance, they shall eat. " This verse repeats the idea that the Levites would not have an earth inheritance like the other tribes of Israel. Instead, they would receive the Lord's burnt offerings as their portion.
