Haggai, 1

1. In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet to Zerub'babel the son of She-al'ti-el, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehoz'adak, the high priest,

Chapter 1 of Haggai begins with a rebuke of God to the people of Judah for neglecting the reconstruction of the temple while working in their own homes and businesses. The prophet urges the people to turn their attention to the temple and the service of God, promising that God's blessing will come upon them.
