Ezekiel, 6

9. then those of you who escape will remember me among the nations where they are carried captive, when I have broken their wanton heart which has departed from me, and blinded their eyes which turn wantonly after their idols; and they will be loathsome in their own sight for the evils which they have committed, for all their abominations.

Verses related to Ezekiel, 6:

Ezekiel 6 deals with God's condemnation of the people of Israel because of their idolatry. The chapter announces God's judgment against the earth and the punishment that will come as a result of the people's rebellion and disobedience. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in Ezekiel 6:

Deuteronomy 12:2-3: "You will knock all the places where the nations they have to possess have served their gods, on the high mountains, and over the hills, and under the whole leafy tree; and you will break their altars, and break down ye shall his statues, and his woods will burning to fire; and will destroy the sculpted images of his gods; and shall give up his name from that place. " This verse speaks of God's command to destroy all places of worship and symbols of worship of pagan peoples in their new earth. This relates to Ezekiel 6, where God is condemning the people of Israel for their idolatry and worship of false gods.

Exodus 20:4-5: "Thou shalt not make the image of sculpture to you, no similarity of what is above in the heavens, or under the earth, nor in the waters under the earth. Thou shalt not go to them or serve them; I, the Lord your God, I am a jealous God, who visits the iniquity of parents in their children, until the third and fourth generation of those who hate me. " This verse is one of God's commandments to his people, forbidding the creation and worship of images and idols. He relates to Ezekiel 6, where God is condemning the people of Israel for their idolatry and worship of false gods.

2 Kings 17:16-17: "They left all the commandments of the Lord, their God, and made for themselves two melted metal calves. They worshiped the whole army of heaven and served Baal. They burned their children as an offering, practicing guessing And witchcraft, and they sold themselves to do what was evil in the eyes of the Lord, causing his wrath. " This verse describes the idolatry of the people of Israel and how they have moved away from God's commandments. This relates to Ezekiel 6, where God is condemning the people of Israel for their idolatry and worship of false gods.

1 Kings 18:21: "Then Elijah has come to all the people, and said, How long shall shall you be between two thoughts? If the Lord is God, follow him; and if Baal, follow him. . " This verse is part of the story of Elijah confronting Baal's prophets.
