Deuteronomy 2:4-"Give him war, fight him." This verse is God's instruction for the Israelites to fight against the people of Seom, the king of the Amorites. He shows that although the Israelites were on a journey to the promised land, they would still have to fight for it.
Deuteronomy 2:19 - "And you have not contained with them, nor with Moab; you did not fight them, there was nor battle." Moses reminds the Israelites that they should not fight the Moabites, for God gave them that earth as inheritance. This highlights the importance of respecting the earth and the people who are not enemies.
Deuteronomy 2:25 - "From today I will begin to put the terror and fear of you over the peoples under the whole heaven, who hear your fame and shake before you." God promised to the Israelites that he would put fear in the hearts of the peoples they found on the way to the promised land.
