Leviticus, 25

46. And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit [them for] a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.

Verses related to Leviticus, 25:

Leviticus 25 deals with laws related to the sabbatical year and the year of Jubilee, in which the earth should rest, slaves and debts must be released and land ownership must be restored to its original owners. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in this chapter:

Deuteronomy 15:1-2: "At the end of every seven years, you must cancel all debts. This is the way you must cancel the debts: Every creditor must forgive the debt you have contracted with your neighbor. demand payment from your neighbor or your brother, because the year of cancellation of debt was proclaimed in honor of the Lord. " This verse relates to Leviticus 25:10, which deals with Jubilee's year, when all debts are canceled and properties are returned to their original owners.

Jeremiah 34:8-9: "The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah after King Zedekiah made a deal with all the people of Jerusalem to proclaim the liberation of slaves.
