Exodus, 33

11. And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

Exodus 33 describes the continuation of Moses's relationship with God after the idolatry of the golden calf. Deuteronomy 31:23: "And he gave order to Joshua, the son of Num, saying, Strive and have good cheer, because thou shalt make the children of Israel into the land that I have sworn to them; and I will be with you." Joshua 1:9: "I am not sending me? Strive and have good encouragement; do not fear, not even amazing; for the Lord your God is with you, wherever you walk." Psalm 23:4: "Although I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no harm, because you are with me; your stick and your staff comfort me." This verse highlights the presence of God as a source of comfort and protection for the psalmist, showing the importance of God's presence in difficult times.
