Chapter 2 of 1 St. John talks about the importance of obeying God's commandments and following the example of Jesus. In addition, the author warns of the presence of false teachers and teaches about fraternal love among the brothers in faith. Below are five verses related to these themes:

Romans 13:8: "You should not be to anyone but the love with which you love each other; The practice of fraternal love is one of the main messages of 1 St. John 2, and this verse of Romans emphasizes that loving their neighbor is to fulfill God's law.
Ephesians 2:10: "For we are his own making, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God in advance prepared for us to walk in them." Just as 1 St. John 2 highlights the importance of following the example of Jesus, this verse of Ephesians teaches that we were created in Christ to perform good works that were prepared by God for us.
