Psalms, 57

10. Before your thorns could know the brier; he swalloweth them up, as alive, in his wrath.

Psalm 57 is a prayer of David when he fled from Saul and hid in a cave. He calls for God for help and protection, recognizing that only He is able to save Him. Psalm 7:10: "My shield is in God, who saves the straights of heart." David trusts God to protect and save him.

Psalm 18:2: "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my liberator; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the power that saves me, my tower . " David recognizes that only God can protect and save him, and He is his fortress and refuge.

Psalm 31:3: "For you are my rock and my fortress; for the sake of your name, lead me and guide me." David trusts God to guide him and protect him for the sake of his name.

Psalm 46:1: "God is our refuge and our fortress, aid always present in adversity." David finds refuge in God, trusting that he is a present aid in times of adversity.

Psalm 59:9: "O my strength, it is in you that I trust; you, O God, you are my refuge." David trusts God as his strength and refuge, recognizing that only He is able to save Him.
