1 Chronicles, 29

20. And David commanded all the assembly: Bless ye the Lord our God. And all the assembly blessed the Lord the God of their fathers: and they bowed themselves and worshipped God, and then the king.

Chapter 29 of 1 Chronicles describes the generosity of David and the people of Israel in contributing to materials to the construction of the temple that his Solomon would build. David says a prayer of thanks to God and asks him to bless and protect Solomon and the people of Israel. Here are five verses related to the topics addressed in 1 Chronicles 29:

Psalm 24:1: "From the Lord is the earth and all that exists in it, the world and those who live in it." David recognizes that all things belong to God and that He is the Creator and Sustainer of everything.

2 Corinthians 9:6-7: "Remember this: He who sows little will reap little, and the one who sows a lot will be harvesting a lot. Each one gives as determined in his heart, not with regret or obligation, for God loves Who gives with joy. " Paul encourages Christians to be generous in their donations, not by obligation, but because it is an expression of love and gratitude to God.

Proverbs 3:9-10: "Honor the Lord with all his resources and the first fruits of all his plantations; his barns will be fully full, and their barrels will overflow with new wine." The author of Proverbs emphasizes the importance of honoring God with our possessions and promises that He will bless us abundantly in return.

1 Timothy 6:17-19: "Order those who are rich in the present world who are not arrogant, nor put their hope in the uncertainty of wealth, but in God, that provides us all abundantly, to our satisfaction. Do good, which are rich in good works, who are generous and ready to share. Thus, they will accumulate for themselves a safe treasure for the future and will reach true life. " Paul instructs Timothy to teach the rich to put their hope in God rather than their riches, and to be generous in their donations to accumulate treasures in heaven.

Malachi 3:10: "Bring the whole tithing to the temple warehouse, so that there may be food in my house. Put me to the test," says the Lord of hosts, "and see if I won't open the heavenly floodgates and spill over You so many blessings that you will have nowhere to keep them. " God challenges his people to be generous in their tithes and promises to bless them abundantly in return.
