Numbers, 9

13. But anyone who is clean and not away on a journey, and who fails to celebrate the Passover, shall be cut off from his people because he did not bring the offering to Yahweh at its appointed time. So he must suffer the punishment for his sin.

Numbers 9 describes how the children of Israel celebrated Easter in the Desert of Sinai, following God's instructions to Moses. In addition, the chapter also deals with the cloud that covered the tabernacle and guided the Israelites on his journey. Below are five verses related to these themes:

Exodus 12:14-"This day shall be to you by memory, and you will celebrate it by feast to the Lord; in your generations you shall celebrate him by perpetual status." This verse refers to the institution of Easter as an annual celebration for the people of Israel.

Exodus 13:21 - "And the Lord went before them, day in a cloud column to guide them along the way, and at night in a column of fire to illuminate them, to walk day and night." This verse highlights God's presence guiding the children of Israel through a cloud column during the desert journey.

Numbers 9:15 - "And on the day the tabernacle was raised, the cloud covered the tabernacle over the testimony tent; and in the afternoon there was upon the tabernacle, as a fire appearance until morning." This verse highlights the importance of the cloud that covered the tabernacle, indicating the presence of God among the people.

Numbers 9:18 - "On the day the tabernacle was armed, the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely the tent of the testimony; and in the afternoon there was on the tabernacle, as if an appearance of fire, until the morning." This verse repeats the previous information to emphasize the importance of the cloud in the camp of the Israelites.

Psalm 32:8-"I will instruct you and teach you the way you must go; I will guide you with my eyes." This verse highlights the importance of divine orientation in the lives of believers and can be related to the presence of the cloud that guided the children of Israel during his journey in the desert.
