Genesis 1 is the first chapter of the Bible and deals with the creation of the world for God. He describes how God created the universe, the earth, the heavens, the light, the waters, the vegetation, the sun, the moon, the stars, the animals, and the man. Next are five Bible verses that relate to topics addressed in Genesis 1:
Psalm 8:3-4: "When you contemplate your heavens, work of your fingers, the moon and the stars you established, which is man, why do you remember Him? And the Son of man, to visit him?" This psalm highlights the work of God's creation, including the moon and the stars mentioned in Genesis 1, and questions the role of man in the universe.
Isaiah 45:12: "I made the earth, and created the man in it; I did it; my hands extended the heavens, and all his army I gave my orders." This verse reaffirms the creation of earth and man for God, as described in Genesis 1.
John 1:3: "All things were done by him, and without him nothing that was done." This verse refers to Jesus as the Creator of all things, including the world created by God in Genesis 1.
Colossians 1:16: "For all things in heaven and earth were created in him, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones, dominations, principalities or powers. Everything was created by him and for him." This verse emphasizes the creation of all things through Jesus and how all things are intended for Him.
Revelation 4:11: "Worthy you are, Lord, to receive glory, and honor, and power; for you have created all things, and for your will are and were created." This verse highlights the glory of God as creator of all things, including the world created in Genesis 1.
