Acts of Apostles 1 is the first chapter of the book that reports the events of the apostles after the rise of Jesus. In this chapter, it is narrated as Jesus appeared to the apostles after his resurrection, giving them instructions and promising baptism in the Holy Spirit. Shortly thereafter, he is elevated to the heavens before the disciples' eyes. The following verses were selected because they are related to the topics addressed in Acts of Apostles 1:

Mark 16:19: "Thus, after having spoken to them, the Lord Jesus was elevated to heaven and sat on the right of God." This verse presents the rise of Jesus to heaven, the central theme of Acts of the Apostles 1.

John 16:7: "But I tell you the truth: You should be, for me to go, because if I am not, the Comforter will not come to you, but I go, I will send you." Jesus talks about the importance of his departure so that the Holy Spirit can come and guide the disciples.

Luke 24:49: "And behold, I send my father's promise to you, remain in the city until the top is coated with power." This verse relates to the promise of baptism in the Holy Spirit made by Jesus to his disciples in Acts of the Apostles 1:4-5.

Acts of Apostles 2:4: "Everyone was full of the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, according to the Spirit granted them to speak." This verse reports the fulfillment of the promise of baptism in the Holy Spirit made by Jesus in Acts of the Apostles 1:5.

John 14:26: "But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I have told you." This verse relates to the promise of the Holy Spirit made by Jesus to his disciples in Acts of the Apostles 1:8, who would be lined with power to be his witnesses all over the world.
