Genesis, 28

11. And when he had arrived at a certain place, where he would rest after the setting of the sun, he took some of the stones that lay there, and placing them under his head, he slept in the same place.

Psalm 139:7-10: "Where will I be absent from your Spirit? Where will I run out of your face? John 1:51: "In truth, I really say unto you, ye shall see the open heaven and the angels of God rising and coming down over the Son of man." This verse is a reference to Jacob's dream, where he saw a staircase that stretched from heaven to earth and the angels rising and down. He reminds us that Jesus is the ladder that leads us to heaven and that He is the connection between God and humanity.
