Amos, 9

1. I saw the Lord standing over an altar, and he said: “Strike the hinges, and let the lintels be shaken. For there is avarice at the head of them all, and I will execute the very last of them with the sword. There will be no escape for them. They will flee, and he who flees from among them will not be saved.

Verses related to Amos, 9:

Amos 9 is the final chapter of the book of Amos, and in him the prophet presents God's vision about the future of Israel and his promise of restoration and blessings. Some of the topics addressed in this chapter include God's judgment on Israel, the future restoration of the kingdom of David, and the abundance of blessings promised to Israel. Here are five verses related to these topics:

Psalm 85:8 - "Certainly your salvation is close to those who fear it, that glory may dwell in our earth." This verse talks about God's salvation, which is one of the promises of Amos 9:11-12 for the people of Israel.

Jeremiah 30:3 - "For, behold, the Lord, says, that I will make my people Israel and Judah return from captivity; This verse relates to the promise of restoration of Amos 9:14-15.

Isaiah 55:12 - "For with joy you will come out, and in peace you will be guided; the hills and the hills will break in song before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap." This verse talks about the joy and peace that will be experienced during the restoration of Israel, which is one of the promises of Amos 9:13.

Zechariah 10:6-"For I will strengthen Judah's house, and save Joseph's house, and make them establish, because I have mercy; and they will be as if they had not rejected them; for I am the Lord your God , and I will hear them. " This verse relates to the promise that God will restore David's house in Amos 9:11.

Ezekiel 36:29-30 - "And I will deliver you from all your filthy, and I will call the wheat, and I will multiply it, and I will not bring you hunger. I will also multiply the fruit of the trees, and the fruit of the fields, that you may never receive hunger affront among the Gentiles. " This verse talks about the abundance that God promised Israel after its restoration, which relates to the promise of Amos 9:13-14.
