Matthew, 15

32. Jesus summoned his disciples and said, "My heart is moved with pity for the crowd, for they have been with me now for three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, for fear they may collapse on the way."

St. Matthew 15 talks about the controversies between Jesus and the Pharisees regarding religious rituals and traditions. Jesus teaches that what contaminates man is not what goes through his mouth, but what comes out of it, that is, the words and actions. He criticizes the Pharisees for following human traditions over God's commandments.

Isaiah 29:13: "The Lord says, 'These people approach me with the mouth and honor me with the lips, but their hearts are far from me. The worship that gives me is made only of rules taught by men. '"This verse relates to Jesus' criticism of the Pharisees for following human traditions rather than God's commandments.

Isaiah 6:9-10: "The Lord said, 'Go and say to this people," Though you hear, you will never understand; Although they see, they will never realize. ”'This verse is quoted by Jesus when he explains why He speaks in parables, so that only those with spiritual ears can understand the truth.
