Luke, 14

21. The servant went and reported this to his master. Then the master of the house in a rage commanded his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in here the poor and the crippled, the blind and the lame.'

Luke chapter 14 begins with Jesus healing a man on a Saturday and arguing with the Pharisees about what was allowed to do on this day. Matthew 22:2-3: "The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet to his son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet, but they refused to go." Proverbs 25:6-7: "Do not exalt yourself in the presence of the king, nor claim a place among the great; it is better for being invited: 'Come up loud,' than to be demoted in the presence of the prince."
