Ezra 5 describes the resumption of the construction of the temple in Jerusalem after being interrupted by a decree of the Persian king. The Prophets Haggai and Zechariah urged the people to continue the work, and the construction of the temple was finally authorized by King Darius.
Ageu 1:8: "I climbed to the mount, and brought wood, and build the house; and I will please me, and I will be glorified, says the Lord." In this verse, he agrees the people to resume the construction of the temple, showing that this is the will of God.

Zechariah 4:6: "Then he answered, and spoke to me, saying, This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by force or violence, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts." This verse shows that the construction of the temple will not be performed through human strength, but by the power of the Spirit of God.
2 Chronicles 36:23: "Thus says Cyrus, king of Persia: The Lord God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and in charge of building a house in Jerusalem, who is in Judah. All his people, be it his God with him, and climb Jerusalem, who is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel (He is the God) who is in Jerusalem. " This verse shows that the Persian king Cyrus allowed God's people to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple.
