23. the children of Hagar in search of worldly wisdom, the merchants of Midian and Teman, the tale-spinners and the philosophers have none of them found the way to wisdom or remembered the paths she treads.

Baruc 3 is a chapter of the Old Testament that presents a sorry prayer, in which the Jewish people recognize that they have disobeyed God and now suffer the consequences. Joel 2:13: "And tear your heart, and not your garments; and convert to the Lord your God; for He is merciful and compassionate, late and great in kindness, and repent of evil." . This verse shows the importance of sincere repentance and the promise of God's mercy.

Nehemiah 9:33: "However, you are just in everything that has happened to us, for you acted with faithfulness, but we sin." This verse recognizes God's righteousness to allow the people to suffer the consequences of their sins, but also highlights God's faithfulness to fulfill their promises.
