Philippians, 1

Philippians 1 is a chapter that talks about the joy Paul had in his prison, his prayer for the Philippians, and his desire for Christ to be glorified in his life. Following are five verses from other Bible books that relate to the topics addressed in Philippians 1.
2 Corinthians 12:10: "Therefore I enjoy weaknesses, injuries, needs, persecution, anguish, for Christ's sake. Because when I am weak, then I am strong." This verse talks about the pleasure Paul had in difficulties, which is addressed in Philippians 1, where he talks about the joy he had in his prison.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Mercies and God of all consolation, who comforts us in all our tribulation, so that we may also comfort those who are in any Tribulation, with the consolation with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
