Nehemiah, 12

24. And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise [and] to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.

Nehemiah chapter 12 tells the dedication of the walls of Jerusalem after its reconstruction. Following are five verses related to the topics covered in Nehemiah 12:

1 Chronicles 25:6: "All of these were under the direction of their parents to the singing in the house of the Lord, with cymbals, jumps and harps, to the ministry in the house of God, under the direction of the king, of Asaph, of Jedutum and Heman. " This verse mentions the importance of musicians and singers in the service of the temple, a function highlighted in Chapter 12 of Nehemiah.

Nehemiah 12:31: "Then I raised the princes of Judah over the wall, and constituted two major praises and thanksgiving companies, the first of which went to the right over the wall to the mourning door."
