Judges 8 continues Gideon's story after his victory over the Midianites. However, instead of celebrating the victory, Gideon gets involved in conflicts with the tribes of Ephraim and Supote and King Zeba and Salmuna. This verse talks about the consequences of sin and how it can affect people over time.
