Exodus, 10

2. And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I [am] the LORD.

Chapter 10 of Exodus narrates the continuation of Egypt's pests, with the arrival of the grasshopper plague. Moses and Aaron try to convince Pharaoh to free the Hebrews, but he still refuses. The selected verses are:

Deuteronomy 28:38: "You will throw a lot of seeds to the countryside, but you will gather little, because the grasshopper will consume her." This verse talks about the damage caused by grasshoppers to agriculture, a theme that is addressed in Chapter 10 of Exodus.

Joel 2:25: "And I will restore you the years that were consumed by the grasshopper." This verse also deals with grasshoppers, but shows that God has the power to restore what was lost.

Proverbs 30:27: "The locusts have no king, yet they all come out in flocks." This verse addresses the nature of the locusts, which act together, which can be observed in the grasshopper plague in Exodus 10.
