Acts of Apostles 11 reports the apostles and brothers' response in Jerusalem after hearing the news that Peter had preached to the Gentiles and that they had received the Holy Spirit. Peter then explains how he received the vision of God and was oriented not to call unclean what God had purified. From this he and the other apostles also preached to the Gentiles. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in Acts of Apostles 11:
Romans 2:28-29: "For it is not Jewish who is only outwardly, nor is circumcision to which is only in the flesh. On the contrary, Jewish is the one who is inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, fulfilled by the Spirit, and not by the letter of the law. This person receives the praise not from men, but of God. " The theme of circumcision is discussed in Acts of the Apostles 11 when Peter is criticized for having entered the house of a uncircumcised Gentile. This verse shows that true circumcision is that of the heart, performed by the Spirit.

1 Peter 4:3: "Because you have already spent enough time doing what pleases the pagans, living on liberation, lust, drunkenness and detestable orgies." This verse addresses the idea that Gentiles lived in sin before they know the truth of Christ, something that is relevant to the context of Acts of the Apostles 11, where Peter preaches to the Gentiles and they are transformed by the Holy Spirit.
