This verse is a condemnation of those who create unfair laws that favor the rich and powerful over the poor and needy.

Ezekiel 22:29: "The people of the earth have used oppression, committed theft and oppressed the poor and needy, mistreating the stranger without justice." This verse shows how oppression and injustice were common practices in Ezekiel's time and how it displeased God.

Isaiah 3:14-15: "The Lord goes into judgment, and places himself to judge the elders of his people and their leaders. You have destroyed the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your homes." This verse portrays God's action against those who exploit the people and destroy their economy.

Proverbs 14:31: "He who oppresses the poor insults him who created him, but who has compassion for the poor honor him." This verse highlights the importance of treating people with justice and compassion as a way of honoring God.

Amós 8:4-6: "Listen to this, you who tread the poor and destroy the needy from the land, saying: When will the new moon go so we can sell wheat, and the Saturday so that we can offer wheat for sale? Measure, we will increase the price, and we will use fake scales to deceive. " This verse exposes the greed and exploitation of the rich in relation to the poor and shows how this is abominable before God.
