Zechariah 3 reports the vision of a divine judgment in which the high priest Joshua is accused and then purified from his sins. The main theme of the chapter is justification before God, the removal of guilt and redemption. Five verses that address these themes are:
Psalm 103:12: "As for the East is far from the West, thus removes our transgressions from us." This verse talks about God's forgiveness and how he is able to completely remove our sins and transgressions.
Isaiah 1:18: "Come then, and argue me, says the Lord, Though your sins are like the scarlet, they will become white like snow; even if they are red as the Carmesim, they will become as the white wool. " This verse shows God's ability to forgive and clean sin, turning it into something pure and clean.
Romans 8:33-34: "Who will introduce accusation against God's chosen ones? It is God who justifies them; who will condemn them? Christ Jesus has died, or rather who has risen from the dead, which is at the right of God, and Also interceded for us. " This verse talks about the justification of believers before God and how Christ intercedes for them.
Hebrews 9:14: "The more the blood of Christ, who by the Eternal Spirit has offered Himself Immaculate to God, shall purify the dead works to your conscience, to serve the living God?" This verse talks about the purification that the blood of Christ brings to the conscience of believers, removing guilt and allowing them to serve God.
1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all injustice." This verse highlights the importance of God's confession and promise to forgive them and purify of injustice.
