Joshua, 1

8. Have the book of this Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may carefully keep everything that is written in it. Then your undertakings will prosper, then you will have success.

Joshua chapter 1 marks the beginning of Joshua's leadership over the children of Israel after the death of Moses. God commissiones Joshua to lead the people in conquering the promised land, and encourages them to be strong and brave. Just as God promised Joshua that he would be with him in his mission, He also promises to be with us in all circumstances. This verse reminds us that we need not fear, for God is always with us.

Matthew 28:19-20: "Therefore, go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe all the things I have sent you; And behold, I am with you every day, until the consummation of the centuries. " This verse highlights the importance of obeying God's orders and following his command, just as Joshua was commissioned by God to lead his people in conquering the promised land.
