Ezekiel, 42

In Ezekiel 42, the prophet receives a view of a temple and his sanctuary. The chapter describes precise measures for the rooms and corridors of the temple, as well as for the area around it. Following are five verses related to the topics addressed in Ezekiel 42:
Exodus 26:33: "And thou shalt hang the veil under the brackets, and shall take the ark of testimony into the veil; and the veil will separate you between the sanctuary and the most holy place." This verse describes how the veil separated the sanctuary from the most holy place, and is relevant to the description of the temple in Ezekiel 42, which also has a separate area for the sanctuary and the most holy place.
1 Kings 6:5: "And against the wall of the house, which was inside, built floors around the walls of the house, around the temple and the sanctuary; and made cameras around." This verse talks about the construction of the temple of Solomon, which can be seen as a precedent for the vision of the temple described in Ezekiel 42.
Ezekiel 41:13: "Thus measured the house, namely six cubits wide to one side, and six cubits wide to the other side, which was the width of the tabernacle." This verse is a continuation of the temple description that begins in Ezekiel 40 and extends to Ezekiel 42, including the accurate measurements for the width of the temple.
Ezekiel 43:7: "And said to me, Son of man, this is the place of my throne, and the place of the plants of my feet, where I will dwell among the sons of Israel forever; and the house of Israel will not contaminate But my holy name, neither they nor their kings, with their prostitution and the corpses of their kings in their ups. " This verse is important because it establishes the purpose of the temple described in Ezekiel, as the place where God will dwell among the children of Israel forever.
Hebrews 9:24: "For Christ has not entered a sanctuary made by hands, figure of the real, but in the same heaven, to now appear for us before the face of God;" This verse points to the difference between the physical temple described in Ezekiel 42 and the true heavenly sanctuary that Christ entered, and highlights the importance of the relationship of the physical temple to spiritual reality.
