Ezekiel, 27

16. Syria [was] thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they occupied in thy fairs with emeralds, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and agate.

Isaiah 23:8 - "Who decreed this about Tire, who distributed crowns whose traders were princes and whose traders were the noblest on earth?" This verse describes the wealth and position of shooting as an important shopping center.

Proverbs 16:18 - "arrogance precedes destruction; pride precedes the fall." This verse highlights the central shot problem, which has become arrogant and confident in his own strength rather than recognizing God as a sovereign.

Ezekiel's prophecy 27 warns about the disastrous consequences of this kind of thought.
