Jeremiah chapter deals with the prophet's prophecy about the destruction of the temple and Jerusalem, and how religious and politicians reacted to this message. They accused him of blasphemy and threatened him with death, but Jeremiah kept his position. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in this chapter:
2 Kings 19:2 - "And sent Eliakim, who was over the house, and Sebna, the registrar, and the elders of the priests, dressed in bags, Isaiah the son of Amoz the prophet." This verse mentions the prophet Isaiah, who also prophesied about the destruction of Jerusalem, and how the leaders sought their guidance.
Ezekiel 33:30-33-"Thus, thus, O Son of man, speak to the children of your people and say unto them, When I make the sword on earth, and the people of the earth take a man of his own Terms, and constitute it for his Atalaia; and he comes to see the sword to come upon the earth, and to touch the trumpet and to warn the people, if he who hears the sound of the trumpet is not warned, and the sword and the sword and the Taking, your blood will be over your head. " This verse talks about the responsibility of leaders to warn the people about imminent destruction and their consequences.
Lamentations 2:6 - "And he wondered his tabernacle as a garden; he destroyed the place of his congregation; the Lord made the solemn festivals and the Sabbath forget, and in the indignation of his wrath rejected the king and the priest." This verse describes the destruction of the temple and the rejection of religious leaders by God.

" This verse talks about the call of the prophet Amos and how God can choose anyone to be his messenger, regardless of his origin or profession.
Acts 5:27-29-"And, bringing them, they introduced them to the Council. And the high priest has questioned them, saying, We do not expressly send you that you would not teach in that name? And behold, you have filled with your doctrine, and want upon us the blood of this man. " This verse shows how the religious leaders of the New Testament also pursue those who preached the message of God, as well as the leaders of Jerusalem in the time of Jeremiah.
