2 Peter, 3

10. But the day of the Lord shall come as a thief, in which the heavens shall pass away with great violence, and the elements shall be melted with heat, and the earth and the works which are in it, shall be burnt up.

Matthew 24:36: "But about that day and time no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." This verse talks about the uncertainty of the date of Christ's return, which corroborates Peter's teaching in 2 Peter 3:10 about the coming of the Lord "as a thief."

Hebrews 10:27: "But a terrible expectation of judgment and a burning fire that will devour the opponents." The author of Hebrews talks about the punishment of the wicked on the day of judgment, a theme that is also addressed by Peter in 2 Peter 3:7.
