This verse highlights the importance of not worrying about getting rich and accumulating riches, in line with the teaching of 1 Timothy 6 about the need not to put our confidence in material wealth.
1 Timothy 6:10 (another chapter): "Because love of money is the root of all ills. Some people, eager for money, have deviated from faith and tormented themselves with many sufferings." This verse, although from the same book, is in a different chapter and reinforces the main message of 1 Timothy 6 on the dangerous obsession with wealth.

This verse reinforces the message of 2 Timothy 2:22 and highlights the importance of maintaining a life of righteousness and holiness, rather than being led by carnal desires.
