Jeremiah 25 presents the prophecy of the chalice of the wrath of God that will be shed over the nations. God is tired of the sin and idolatry of the people and sends Jeremiah to warn them about the imminent destruction. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in this chapter:
Isaiah 51:17: "Awaken, awaken you! Get up, O Jerusalem, that you have drank from the hand of the Lord the chalice of your wrath; you drank, sugast, and let it exhaust." This verse presents an image similar to that of God's wrath, showing that the idea is not exclusive to Jeremiah.
Revelation 14:10: "He will also drink from the wine of the cholera of God, which has been prepared without mixing, in the chalice of his wrath; and will be tormented with fire and sulfur before the holy angels and before the lamb." This verse presents a future view of God's wrath being shed over those who reject Him.
