Psalm 148 is a hymn of praise to the greatness and sovereignty of God, which is exalted in both heaven and on earth. The psalmist calls all creatures to worship God, from angels in heaven to the fish of the sea. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in this Psalm:
Psalm 8:3-4: "When you contemplate your heavens, the work of your fingers, and the moon and the stars you established, which is the mortal man to remember Him? And the Son of man, to visit him? " This verse talks about the psalmist's admiration for God's creation, especially when looking at the heavens.
Isaiah 42:10: "Sing to the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth; you, who navigates through the sea, and all that is in Him; you, islands, and its inhabitants." In this verse, Isaiah urges all creatures to praise God, including sailors and those who live on islands.
Psalm 103:20-22: "Bendize to the Lord, you, your angels, you who exceed in strength, who keep His commandments, obeying the voice of His Word. yours, who executes your benefit. Bendize the Lord, you, all your works, everywhere in your dominion; I bless the Lord, O my soul! " This verse shows that all creatures, including angels, are called to praise God.
Psalm 33:8: "Theme to the Lord all the earth; they fear him all the inhabitants of the world." This verse urges all people on earth to fear God.
Revelation 5:13: "And I heard to every creature that is in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and who are in the sea, and to all the things in them, to say, to what is seated over the throne and To the Lamb is praise, and honor, and glory, and dominion for centuries of the centuries. " This verse describes a vision of heaven, where all creatures are praising God and the Lamb.
