Chapter 5 of Micah talks about the coming of the Messiah and the restoration of the people of Israel. In this chapter it is prophesied that the Messiah will be born in Bethlehem and will rule with justice and peace. In searching throughout the Bible, I found the following verses related to the topics addressed in this chapter:
Isaiah 9:5-6: "For a boy was born to us, a son has given us; and the government will be over his shoulders; and his name will be wonderful counselor, God strong, father of eternity, prince of peace. From this principality and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and in his kingdom, to firm and fortify him with judgment and with righteousness, from now on and forever; the zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this. " This verse relates to Micah 5, for both talk about the coming of the Messiah and the promise that he will rule with justice and peace.
Psalm 72:7-8: "It will flourish in your days justice, and abundance of peace, until there is no moon. It will dominate from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth." In this verse, it is prophesied that the reign of the Messiah will be marked by justice and peace, which is also mentioned in Micah 5.
Isaiah 11:1-2: "For a shooting of the trunk of Jesse shall sprout, and from his roots a renewal will bear fruit. And the Spirit of the Lord, the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, the Spirit of Council, and Fortaleza shall rest upon him. the spirit of knowledge and fear of the Lord. " This verse talks about the emergence of the Messiah of the lineage of Jessé, the father of David, which is similar to the prophecy of Micah 5 about the birth of the Messiah in Belém.
Zechariah 9:9: "Rejoice a lot, O daughter of Zion; exulta, O daughter of Jerusalem: Here comes your king; He is righteous and saved, humble, and comes mounted on a donkey, over a donkey, son of a donkey. " This verse relates to Micah 5, for both speak about the coming of the just and humble king who will bring salvation to the people.
Psalm 89:36-37: "Your offspring will last forever, and your throne, as the sun before me. It will be established forever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven." This verse talks about the promise that David's descent and his throne would last forever, which is similar to the promise of Micah 5 about the reign of the Messiah, which will come from the lineage of David.
