2 Kings 3 narrates the story of the King Jorão of Israel, King Jehoshaphat of Judah and the king of Edom, who joined to fight Moab. They marched through the Edom's desert and ran out of water. Then they sought the prophet Elisha, who asked for a harp player and prophesied that God would supply water miraculously. God fulfilled Elisha's prophecy and provided enough water to the troops and the animals. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in 2 Kings 3:
Psalm 104:10-13: "It brings grass to cattle, and plants for man to cultivate, taking the food out of the earth: the wine, which rejoices the human heart; the olive oil, which makes the face shine, and the bread that sustains the vigor of life. Deuteronomy 2:4-5: "Give the order to the people, 'You are passing through the territory of your brothers, the descendants of Esau, who dwell in Seir. They will be afraid of you, but be careful. Do not get involved in a war with them, For I will not even give you a palm of land. I will give as inheritance to the descendants of Esau the territory they now occupy. " This verse talks about the importance of respecting the territorial limits of other peoples and avoiding unnecessary conflicts.
