When he broke open the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slaughtered because of the witness they bore to the word of God. (Revelation 6,9)

These are they who were not defiled with women; they are virgins and these are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been ransomed as the firstfruits of the human race for God and the Lamb. (Revelation 14,4)

On their lips no deceit has been found; they are unblemished. (Revelation 14,5)
