Thus Israel settled in the land of Egypt, in the region of Goshen. There they acquired property, were fertile, and increased greatly. (Genesis 47,27)

Jacob lived in the land of Egypt for seventeen years; the span of his life came to a hundred and forty-seven years. (Genesis 47,28)

Joseph died at the age of a hundred and ten. He was embalmed and laid to rest in a coffin in Egypt. (Genesis 50,26)
