Joseph was thirty years old when he entered the service of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went through all the land of Egypt. (Genesis 41,46)

Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. (Exodus 1,8)

Then the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom was named Shiph'rah and the other Pu'ah, (Exodus 1,15)

But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but let the male children live. (Exodus 1,17)

So the king of Egypt called the midwives, and said to them, "Why have you done this, and let the male children live?" (Exodus 1,18)

And the foremen of the people of Israel, whom Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and were asked, "Why have you not done all your task of making bricks today, as hitherto?" (Exodus 5,14)

"Go in, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the people of Israel go out of his land." (Exodus 6,11)
