Thus God has taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me. (Genesis 31,9)

Are we not regarded by him as foreigners? For he has sold us, and he has been using up the money given for us. (Genesis 31,15)

About three months later Judah was told, "Tamar your daughter-in-law has played the harlot; and moreover she is with child by harlotry." And Judah said, "Bring her out, and let her be burned." (Genesis 38,24)
