Abraham answered, "Behold, I have taken upon myself to speak to the Lord, I who am but dust and ashes. (Genesis 18,27)

He said, "Behold, I have taken upon myself to speak to the Lord. Suppose twenty are found there." He answered, "For the sake of twenty I will not destroy it." (Genesis 18,31)

Then she went, and sat down over against him a good way off, about the distance of a bowshot; for she said, "Let me not look upon the death of the child." And as she sat over against him, the child lifted up his voice and wept. (Genesis 21,16)

He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Mori'ah, and offer him there as a burnt offering upon one of the mountains of which I shall tell you." (Genesis 22,2)

When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. (Genesis 22,9)

Before he had done speaking, behold, Rebekah, who was born to Bethu'el the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, came out with her water jar upon her shoulder. (Genesis 24,15)

The maiden was very fair to look upon, a virgin, whom no man had known. She went down to the spring, and filled her jar, and came up. (Genesis 24,16)

She said, "Drink, my lord"; and she quickly let down her jar upon her hand, and gave him a drink. (Genesis 24,18)

Then Rebekah and her maids arose, and rode upon the camels and followed the man; thus the servant took Rebekah, and went his way. (Genesis 24,61)

When the men of the place asked him about his wife, he said, "She is my sister"; for he feared to say, "My wife," thinking, "lest the men of the place should kill me for the sake of Rebekah"; because she was fair to look upon. (Genesis 26,7)

Abim'elech said, "What is this you have done to us? One of the people might easily have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt upon us." (Genesis 26,10)

So he built an altar there and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there. And there Isaac's servants dug a well. (Genesis 26,25)
